From failing scores to a decent pass in step1 alhamdulillah…. Dr taher is very knowledgeable and overall a great tutor/mentor. When studying for step 1 one often feels lost but through his comprehensive approach Dr taher manages to clarify many difficult concepts which helps the students to connect all the dots and build a very strong foundation. Moreover, he provides a plethora of very good mnemonics and high yield rapid fire questions throughout the course which come in handy on exam day. I would say he has mastered the art of teaching step 1, his dedication and commitment is reflected by the success rate of his students. He never shies away from answering questions

Just took my step 1 exam. It was definitely a very tiring and exhausting journey. I started with kaplan, watched all the videos except pathology for which I did pathoma. After that I went through FA along with Rx videos. I went through FA first time along with a partner which took me 1.5 months. Then I started solving uworld. It took a long time to get to a good pace. Somehow I managed to finish within 7 months. Then I went through FA again along with all the notes I took from uworld. Then I took few nbmes and my score was around 210 (nbme 15,16). I started uworld for the second time and finished uworld 2nd pass. After that I started studying FA dedicatedly. But after I took nbme I was not happy with my score (nbme 20/21/22 around 220-225)and I was feeling very lost when I found out about Dr Taher. I wish I had found him earlier. I would have loved to do his whole course. But I did few difficult topics with him and he made them very simple, easy to understand and his mnemonics and drawings are the best! Even though I had studied everything, he taught me how to correlate and study and how to study well. We all give effort but doing it right way matters the most and he taught me how to. Finally I was happy with my nbme score and uwsa scores and I took the exam.

Hello my friends I would love to write down a review for Dr Mohammad Tahir for helping me achieving my Step 1 225 especially when I was not able to pass the NBME exam I jumped from 186 to 225 just completing his lectures. He is an exceptional instructor and a true mentor. Connecting dots and my concepts got clear easily after attending his lectures. You can expect perfect guidance until the day before the exam. I’d recommend all to not just attend his lectures but also take complete guidance in the timing for NBME and exam which is highly necessary. My aim was 230 to 240 so I am more than satisfied with my performance. My actual prep duration was 4 -Smooths Ask me questions if any. His email is drmohammedtaher@gmail.com

Hi Dr. Taher, apologies just replying to this now. I absolutely love your classes. I am being completely honest with the fact that I’ve never had a teacher like you. You have connected all the dots and linked different concepts together in a comprehensive and cohesive way. I’ve never experienced this kind of teaching all throughout medical school. If I had, stronger than ever before and I am consistently performing well on my question sets (mixed questions on systems/ concepts we have covered) in the range of 70s. I would like to bump that up, there are still some gaps that need to be filled. Hopefully by the time the rapid review ends, I’ll know everything. The only thing is the timings I wish could have been worked out better. I do not prefer the evening class time throughout medical school. If I had, perhaps it would have made a difference to my performance. Starting your course was the best thing I ever did and I always thank my mom since she was the one who found out about you in the first place. You have expunged all my doubts and fears, and instead, instilled confidence in my knowledge. I feel that knowledge base is stronger than ever before and I am were much shorter. Regardless, I have nothing but the highest praise for you, Dr. Taher and I will most definitely be recommending your course to whoever I know. I’ve already mentioned your name to a couple other medical school students ready to take their STEP 1 (and graduates from my program who wish to practice in the United States). Thank you so much, from the very bottom of my heart.

Such a Profound and Unique Method of Teaching, Extremely Beneficial.
By far, without a doubt, one of the best tutors I have come across. If you want to find out if it really is true, take a course with him and realize, how genuinely, passionately and sincerely Dr. Mohamed teaches his students. He’s extremely passionate at what he does, but beyond sincere and genuine in helping students. You can tell how much effort and hard work he puts while teaching so students succeed. Such a profound and unique method of teaching, extremely beneficial. Half of your work is done at the time of his lecture because everything he teaches, it’s in such a way that it’ll be ingrained in your brain and you’ll remember and visualize.
I began Dr. Taher’s classes it is amazing.
I began Dr. Taher’s class it is amazing. This is a must. I was beyond worried but he manages to make me feel like there is no challenge too great for me. I have a resolve akin to that of a heavy weight boxer about to knock out my opponent. I have perhaps been his most challenging student yet but he has been very patient. I recommend him if you want to really hone into abilities you thought you never had. I have seen other post of student, who have taken his class and they have been quite pleased and so am I thus far.
It was one of the best decisions I made during my preparation
Thanks to the person who wrote the original post because it was through him I learnt of Dr Taher when the anxiety of preparation for step I was hard on me.. I am an IMG and had Dr Tahers class from March- May 2017 and it was one of the best decisions I made during my prep… First off,l prepared for almost 9 months but prior to starting the class I didn’t feel confident despite scoring 0k on daily U-world blocks…l have to say the at I am a slow reader and the class really helped me cover through almost a full read of first aid . Close to the end of the class , I started taking my NBMEs …with Nbme 13 scored 247, then about 2 weeks later I took Nbme 18 with a score of 252.However my last two nbme caused me serious panic, within a week to my exam I decide to take nbme 19 and scored 238 which got me worried but I brushed it aside because I heard it always over predicted scores …The one that really got me worried was Nbme 15 which I scored 232 just 3 days to my exam by now I was seriously frightened and tried to shift my exam date but couldn’t see a free date within my eligibility period…
It’s covered, no worries. plus I’ve been learning extremely well from your sessions because puts me on my toes to think about anything at anytime which is so helpful. Just being selfish with my studies like you said. Thank you so much though, two weeks into class, I’m enjoying it a lot. You’re a great teacher! Best I’ve had thus far. Happy new year in advance! See you Tuesday doc.
I honestly and with my personal experience would recommend you to join Dr.Mohammed’s classes.
Hi Friends This post is for any students who wants to give step 1 and who is struggling to maximize their scores or who is willing to pass. Hello all, I am currently doing Dr.taher’s course. We are now at the end of the course. Before joining his course I wasn’t able to correlate the things and even I was frustrated as I could not recall anything which I read from kaplan notes.Dr.taher’s teaching strategy is different .He will cover high yield topics first and then come to the low yield topics and he has already covered most from the first aid and Uworld .The best thing is that he would ask Question from the previous topics which he has already covered. That’s how one will have repeated revision which is necessary in step 1 preparation.l wish I could join his

Hi Dr Mohammed, the last 3 weeks were the most productive and the biggest improvement I have made since I started preparing for the step, 6 months ago.. Even after the class has ended, I still remember your words of encouragement and of course your favorite phrase “Any Doubt ? “.
